Miles Without Stiles is an initiative which originated in the Lake District.
It’s aim was to create a selection of barrier-free, accessible routes which could be documented and shared with people with access needs, opening up the countryside for everyone.
This workshop was developed for the Peak National Park when they adopted the Miles Without Stiles concept in 2017.
The workshop develops an understanding of the needs of and potential barriers faced by disabled people, introduces the Miles Without Stiles concept and equips delegates with the skills they need to identify, develop, audit and record barrier-free routes.
